renovating.. again!

Filed under: House and Home, Kitchen Tools, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 11:58 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2009

We renovated our house last 2006 but until now, we still have some improving left to do in some house areas. Yeah, home improvements can be a bit demanding and it’s definitely an unending process! Nearly 3 years into it and we’re still not finished. You finish improving one house area, and you think that this other area should be improved too, and so on and so forth. So I guess, good luck to us, LOL! :p Currently we’re improving our dirty kitchen / laundry area and looking for stainless steel kitchen sinks that should last for decades. It should be heavy duty too as we will not use it only for washing dishes but also for hand-washing clothes and what-nots.

Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink Basket Strainer

While browsing online for sinks, I came across SinksUSA.com and I was ecstatic with their stainless steel sinks selection! =) There’s so many to choose from! They have Undermount Sinks, Single Bowl Sinks, Double Sinks, Triple Bowl Sinks, Round Sinks, Large Sinks, and even sink accessories like the one pictured above. That’s a stainless steel kitchen sink basket strainer and drain by the way. Anyway, I also found out that SinksUSA.com offers FREE shipping within the 48 contiguous states of the US plus they offer an affiliate program! If you’re friend buys a sink from your link, you will get 15% commission on the total sales. Simply awesome!!

I need health insurance -_-

Filed under: Doctor's Life, Family Affairs — cutieissa24 at 10:15 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Yeah, I’m a medical doctor but I don’t have health insurance.. Pathetic huh? Not that I couldn’t find any affordable health insurance. It’s because up until I was 25 years old (was still a medical student then, a dependent), I was covered under my father’s comprehensive medical insurance along with my mother and youngest bro. When I got my Physician’s license, I ceased being a dependent but then I got married and became a dependent of my husband as I didn’t work yet. It was all good and sufficient until I got pregnant — there were so many medical fees and medicines to buy! And now we need to clarify with hubby’s health insurance if my giving birth will be covered by them. If not, I need to get my own medical insurance or save enough money to cover birthing costs and beyond. Hahay!

wanted: Utah car dealers!

Filed under: House and Home, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 8:05 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2009

A college schoolmate of mine recently settled in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and baby boy. They have been doing well financially (they even got a new, bigger apartment!) and are currently looking for a new affordable car. Of course, in this day and age, you can find whatever you’re looking for in the world wide web. A quick online search for “Utah county auto dealers” turned up with BrentBrownAuto.com — an automotive seller that carries the following car types: Pick Up Trucks, SUV, Coupes, Convertible, Sedan, Hybrid, Van, Station Wagon, Hatch Back, and Motorcycles. They definitely have a wide range of cars to choose from! And I bet my college schoolmate will have a field day with her husband in deciding what car to buy =)

It’s official, Labsie and I are pregnant! Hubby is very thrilled while I’m quite ambivalent about it. After all, we planned to have a baby after 3-4 years of marriage. And we’re still on our first year. Tsk! But hey, God thought we’re ready to be parents so here we are: unexpectedly expecting our first bundle of joy! Hubby wants a boy (guess he wants someone to share his love for sports and Football Picks, ROFTL!) while I just want a healthy baby.. =)

A payday loan or payday advance is a small, unsecured short-term loan ranging from $100 to $1,000 (depending on the state) offered by a payday lender. what the hell is Kanye West’s problem??

Filed under: Current Affairs, Music, Television — cutieissa24 at 3:17 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Yesterday I woke up and found my Facebook Wall littered with angry comments directed to Kanye West. Our cable TV had no MTV so I wasn’t able to watch their Music Video Awards. Apparently, the “Heartless” rapper “Disrespected” the fragile 19-year old Taylor Swift. The young country singer won the Best Female Video and while she was giving her victory speech, Kanye West went up the stage and gave his own talk — that Beyonce has the best video and not Taylor! Beyonce looked horrified as the cameras panned to her while Kanye was booed off the stage. Taylor Swift look mortified and was about to cry. And no, she wasn’t able to finish her speech that time. Kanye West is such a douche!!!

The Sims 3: World Adventures — what an awesome expansion pack!!

Filed under: Games — cutieissa24 at 11:56 pm on Monday, September 14, 2009

The Sims 3 is barely six months old and yet, EA has announced it will release the awesome game’s first expansion pack this November! I’m sooo psyched!!! =) The Sims 3: World Adventures will let your sims explore France, Egypt, and China. you can accept challenges, find treasures, discover what’s lurking in hidden caves, tombs and more with the first ever adventure gameplay. While traveling in Egypt, watch out for any sarcophagus in the tombs that may have an angry mummy just waiting to put a curse on you. Whichever of the 3 countries you’ll visit, your sims will have to start out at a kind of “base camp” then s/he will have to earn their way up to being able to have a local home to travel to. Simply awesome and I can’t wait for November 17!!

do you have a life insurance?

Filed under: Money Matters, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 10:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2009

When I was still working in a private hospital, I’d often come across patients who are relatively well-off but due to the chronic course of their disease, they eventually had a hard time paying off hospital bills. The problem? They didn’t have any insurance, HEALTH or any insurance for that matter. How about you, do you have one? Even just a life isurance? You don’t wanna die without leaving some ” monetary gift” to your family right? If you’re worried about the cost of these stuff, you can get FREE term life insurance quotes here. Just click the link and you’re good to go! Be responsible!

I gained 2 kilos in the past 3 months! =(

Filed under: Health Matters — cutieissa24 at 11:24 am on Sunday, September 13, 2009

That’s around 9 pounds! And for someone as petite as me (I’m just 5 feet), any weight added to my frame does not look good. For the past several years, I’ve maintained my weight in the 42-44 kilos (or less than 100 pounds) range. But when I hit my late twenties (I’m now 28, gahh), I’ve been noting some weight gain. Didn’t notice it much until I weighed myself in my doctor’s clinic recently and was shocked to see the weighing scale read 46 kilos! Goodness gracious!!! I immediately thought of getting the best diet pills I can afford.. Then reality set in — gotta do diet and exercise first! If it doesn’t work then that’s the time I’ll go for diet pills. Sigh! Wish me luck guys!
