learn from us: backup your files!!
Previously I blogged that the brand-new Seagate Barracuda hard drive of our PC died and can’t be detected anymore. My bro and I don’t want to return it (and get it replaced with a new hard drive) despite the fact that its warranty is still valid coz it contained all our files. Then it struck me just now that this would not have been a problem if we backed up our data! Around 5 years before, I was religiously backing up my data via remote backups.
And this is the reason why I still have files from my high school and college life (I’m 27 now). Just imagine if you have a business and your computers failed.
