Unlike most houses, we don’t have a garage. Our neighbor has three garages, one for each of his cars — one car for regular use, one vintage car, and one sports car. Yeah, our neighbor is rich! :p For some reason, while we were renovating our home, we completely forgot to plan for a garage. Must be because we’ve been parking our cars outside (and exposed to the elements) for a long time now that it just escaped us to build a garage. Now, my parents added building a garage to their list of projects that are part of our home renovations (going on nearly 3 years already, ackk!). Mama has been asking for suggestions on designing the garage, but I’m stumped.
The only thing I told her is to NOT use light-colored garage floors as pictured above. I felt it would dirty up so fast and would require constant cleaning. Dark-colored or black garage flooring, on the other hand, would hide the dirt and mucky stuff. No cleaning required! Hehe! Also it would be nice if the garage had storage bins and cabinets and lockers. I want it to be my organizing area for everything! =) As for its door, I found AMS / Austin garage doors
