our Dalmatian just died..

Filed under: Family Affairs — cutieissa24 at 7:27 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2009

And my family is all sad and heartbroken over it.. T_T Patsy, our first Dalmatian, was a very gentle dog. She was very playful, very sweet and loves to eat. She also loves to sunbathe and loves to be scratched on her belly. We sorely miss her already.. =( We still have one Dal left, Lady who is more mischievous and playful than her mom. To Patsy, we hope you’re in doggie heaven eating all the food you want!

debt consolidation 101

Filed under: Money Matters — cutieissa24 at 5:30 am on Sunday, June 28, 2009

Bankruptcy is one of life’s major events, albeit a bitter one. It does not happen overnight as it slowly becomes a reality as your debts add up. And in the end, mere mortals like us who are not financially savvy are at the mercy of our debtors. If you are deep in debt right now or has a large loan, you might want to use Debt Consolidation in paying your bills. For those not in the know, this involves taking out one large loan to pay a number of smaller, usually high interest, loans.

Debt consolidation allows a debtor to put all debt into one loan, usually with a smaller monthly payment than he/she had with all of the separate loans/debts. Most of the time, the interest rate on the new loan is less than the average interest rate of the old loans/debts. If you noticed, consolidating your debts would allow you to pay a LESSER amount of money in the long run. Plus, the convenience having to do only one payment to cover the multiple former debts is a very nice component.

of moving and movers

Filed under: House and Home, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 2:15 am on Sunday, June 28, 2009

When I was young, my family constantly moves from one place to another coz of my father’s work. There was even one school year where half of my studies was in Legazpi City and the other half was in Laguna. It was hard going for a kid coz I grew up with almost no permanent friends as my existence in a village or school is as ephemeral as a firefly’s life. What also made hard was the constant unpacking and packing of our belongings. Moving companies were not vogue in that time yet so we moved our stuff on our own. Yup, tough life! :p Moving families now have a much more easy time in transporting their family belongings. If you’re from Dallas, there’s this company of Dallas movers who’ll gladly pack and truck you’re stuff wherever you want it to go. This Texas moving company is registered in Better Business Bureau so expect top-rate service from them. Currently they are offering the following freebies:

-FREE estimate
-FREE wardrobe boxes
-30-day FREE storage
-Protect your floors with Carpet Shield
-FREE Padding & Shrink wrap with every move

Interested? Or maybe moving soon? Call them at (214) 256-4414 or check their site out! =)

asbestos and mesothelioma

Filed under: Weblogs — cutieissa24 at 10:05 am on Friday, June 26, 2009

HEALTH MATTERS time! =)

If you work in an environment where you are exposed to asbestos articles or asbestos dust and fibre, chances are, you might get mesothelioma. This disease is a form of cancer and is almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos. For this type of cancer, malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body’s internal organs. The most common site where this develops is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and chest cavity). It may also be seen in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity) or the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart). Unlike lung cancer, there is no association between mesothelioma and smoking. If you want more information about this dreaded cancer, please visit and have a chitchat with your personal doctor. Also ask him/her about the myriad types of Mesothelioma treatment. It’s never too early to know your options!

garage talk ;-)

Filed under: House and Home, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 4:11 am on Friday, June 26, 2009

Unlike most houses, we don’t have a garage. Our neighbor has three garages, one for each of his cars — one car for regular use, one vintage car, and one sports car. Yeah, our neighbor is rich! :p For some reason, while we were renovating our home, we completely forgot to plan for a garage. Must be because we’ve been parking our cars outside (and exposed to the elements) for a long time now that it just escaped us to build a garage. Now, my parents added building a garage to their list of projects that are part of our home renovations (going on nearly 3 years already, ackk!). Mama has been asking for suggestions on designing the garage, but I’m stumped.

Garagefloor

The only thing I told her is to NOT use light-colored garage floors as pictured above. I felt it would dirty up so fast and would require constant cleaning. Dark-colored or black garage flooring, on the other hand, would hide the dirt and mucky stuff. No cleaning required! Hehe! Also it would be nice if the garage had storage bins and cabinets and lockers. I want it to be my organizing area for everything! =) As for its door, I found AMS / Austin garage doors
over at the internet and thought that they would do nicely. The owner is a Navy man and his customers can attest to his great customer service and high level of attention to details. Currently they are offering FREE estimate for your garage doors and a 10% discount for orders over $250.

You can join in the fun HERE! =)

- Of course! I love helping kids and I love candy bars! LOL

- Umm, probably not.. If I’m out of potato chips & water, then perhaps I’d go out and buy some.
