2009 Project 365: Week 2 (Jan 5 - Jan 11), originally uploaded by cutieissa.

My first full week! =) And it’s my first time to play with Photoshop Elements 7 too. I have been using PSE5 since 2007 and I must say PSE7 is way, way much cooler! It’s almost like CS3 but very user-friendly. All my Project 365 digiscrapz are on my new “dedicated to P365″ Flickr account.

To read my notes on the scraps, click on the photo. You would then be taken to its Flickr page. On top of the photo, click the “ALL SIZES” button and voila! You’ll be able to read my notes. Not that you’re required to read them, LOL ;-)

I LOVE BEDS! I truly do! If there’s one thing I’m willing to spend on, it would be buying beds, mattresses and gorgeous bed linens. The photos above are pictures of my Princess Daybed, pretty huh? =) It was my bed when I was still unmarried. I had it painted in white with pink accents. The beddings are of course pink, as well as most of my stuff toys. I know it doesn’t look very mature considering I was already 25 when I had this bed. Hehe!

Though I loved this bed of mine, I had longed for wooden beds. They seem so sturdy and long-lasting, and they exude that classy style that I was favoring since I hit my 20s. One type I really like are the platform beds. And guess what? When I got married, my parents gave us a queen-size wooden Platform Bed! Sooo nice of them! =) Now I am shopping for home accessories to complement our new bed. Hope I won’t spend much!!! Hehe!

a healthier us in 2009! =)

Filed under: Health Matters, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 8:39 am on Sunday, January 25, 2009

Labsie and I are both health conscious. He has been noticing his increase in abdominal girth and the development of double (triple) chins the past year. Of course I have been noticing my rounder figure too, ughh!! So what to do? Diet and exercise of course! And so far, we have been good *angelic grin* Here’s what we’re up to:

1. BIG breakast everyday to keep the hungry pangs away throughout the day. I usually cook meat viands and eggs during breakfast.
2. SMALL dinner — 1 cup rice for Labsie and half cup for me. Non-meat viands like fish, other seafood and veggies.
3. Eating HEALTHY foods. We have brown rice which have more fiber than white rice, and we have plenty of fruits — which we’re trying very hard to eat at least once a day.
4. EXERCISE!! Labsie does abdominal crunches every morning and walking about a kilometer if his morning sked allows. Me? I’m still dreaming of getting state-of-the-art treadmills *sigh*
5. Drinking WATER instead of softdrinks. No problem with me while Labsie is still weaning away from Coke. He can get Diet Coke though..

Labsie’s 2009 wishlist

Filed under: Online Finds!, Web/Tech — cutieissa24 at 7:35 am on Friday, January 23, 2009

Since I put up my wishlist more than a week ago, my husband thought I should put up his wishlist too. LOL! And so here it is! I hope I got it all Labsie — I cut the uber-expensive stuff though. Sorry, hehe! Oh yeah, he says there should be a different list for our JOINT BOOK wishlist so stay tuned for that =)

1. a telescope!!!
2. a good ole leather belt
3. sneakers or skater shoes
4. 500gb external hard drive (just like my wish! His and Hers, hehe)
5. steel eyeglassses frame or a year’s supply of contact lenses (grade: 100)
6. 16gb USB drive (he got lots of cheap memory sticks for his phone and PSP already)
7. Dragonlance books — we already have 90 books in our collection and we’re missing a few in our must-have sets. Check out our book wishlist later =)

refinancing your loans?

Filed under: Money Matters, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 3:18 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2009

At the economic recession deepens, everybody are straightening up their financial status by refinancing their loans and stuff. If you’re refinancing your car, do try RateGenius.com =) They have made it (again) easier to refinance your automobile by using their electronic document process to complete your refinance. And because it’s electronic, it’s automatic and you can begin saving money almost immediately!

Also, you can enjoy your car up to 60 days until your first payment. Great huh? But the best thing is that Rate Genius does not charge their customers for their refinancing service. Is that generous or what?? And of course, while refinancing your car, don’t forget to get auto insurance quotes. That way your refinanced car will be protected (and your wallet too) in case accidents happen.

get a life insurance while young!

Filed under: Money Matters, Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 2:29 pm on Friday, January 16, 2009

I know it sounds like I’m selling insurance with my frequent posts about it. But I’M NOT SELLING — my mom does! Hehe! Yeah, just the same ;-p Anyway, I just got my life insurance quote for age 27. Man, the difference is really big when compared to the quote I got at age 21! That being said, I encourage you to get life insurances while you are young. Cheaper monthly/yearly payments while getting a bigger sum later on. Trust me on this, I have 3 insurances already! That’s from age 21, 23 and 25 ;-)

diet pills? hmm..

Filed under: Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 2:56 am on Wednesday, January 14, 2009

I have never recommended diet pills for those wanting to lose weight. I have always advised them to diet (cut back calories) and exercise. But for some, this doesn’t work, especially for those trying to get rid of the last few pounds in the belly and thigh areas (also my problem, LOL!). Recently, I came across a list of the top diet pills — most of the names were familiar, as well as the drug ingredients. What caught my attention was the top 1 product name OROVO. It claims to be all-natural and its ingredients are more of multi-vitamin supplements than chemical drugs. I also have written about it but have never tried it. If you have, did it work? Do leave me a comment below and thanks! =)
