time to exercise!

Filed under: Online Finds! — cutieissa24 at 4:29 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2008

One of my resolutions for the year 2008 is to exercise. I plan to do jumping rope in the morning and jogging in the afternoon (maybe even use exercise equipment like treadmill and ellipticals). I really hope I’d stick to it. My metabolism is already slowing down (I’m 26!!!) and it doesn’t help that my physical activity is just limited to house work and playing with our dogs. For most part of the day I’m just sitting in front of the PC. Yikes!

cheap Cisco products here!

We Pinoys are fond of pre-owned things (clothes, bags, shoes, etc) that we can buy for a lesser price than the brand new ones. And would you believe that even pre-owned IT products are being sold online?? Introducing Sapia Net! The company buys, sells, and trades IT networking hardware equipment. New, used, and refurbished routers, switches, and other equipment from Cisco Systems are being sold at prices 50% to 90% off their list price! Imagine that, used Cisco products for sale! I wonder what Cisco will say when they find out their products are being refurbished and sold again, lol! And get this, Sapia Net even offers 1-year warranty for their used products. Nice one eh??

film talk =)

I love to watch foreign language films (and at the jologs level, koreanovelas and such, hehe) and my favorite are French films. There’s just something with their lilting way of speech.. Music to my ears! No matter if I can barely understand the characters’ conversations. Hehe! My major requirement for watching a foreign film then is that it should be dubbed in English or at least, have video captioning. Though the latter is quite distracting and takes my eyes off the movie and unto reading. Tsk!

general acne treatment guide

Filed under: Health Matters — cutieissa24 at 7:51 am on Tuesday, March 4, 2008

There are many products sold as acne treatment. Generally speaking successful treatments give little improvement within the first week or two; and then the acne decreases over approximately 3 months, after which the improvement starts to flatten out. Many treatments that promise big improvements within 2 weeks are likely to be largely disappointing. Exception of this is cortisone which can give very quick results.

In general, acne treatments are believed to work in at least 4 different ways [with many of the best treatments providing multiple simultaneous effects] - a.) normalising shedding into the pore to prevent blockage, b.) killing causative bacteria, c.) antinflammatory effects, and d.) hormonal manipulation.
